- ACT representative to School Sport Australia

- strong associations with school sport through Rugby League and Athletics

Paul's vision for the 2008 Pacific School Games is that it be an opportunity for young divers aged from 10 - 19 to compete in an international competition where new friendships can be developed and old friendships renewed.  And that it will also provide "a stepping stone to other national and international competitions".

"He feels the 2008 PSG Diving competition will have a unique aspect because "... it will be held in the heritage listed facilities at the Canberra Olympic Pool, built in 1956".
