2008 Pacific School Games General Manager, Ron Burns, made a special guest appearance last week at Hawker Primary School.

                                                                                                         

Burns addressed the school assembly and spoke briefly about the extensive preparations involved with the games and the excitement surrounding the multi- sport international event. The 2008 PSG is expected to attract all States and Territories in Australia as well as countries from Asia and the Pacific region with the 2008 PSG Opening Ceremony expected to draw over 10,000 participants and spectators to the Canberra Stadium on Sunday, 30 November.

Year 3 student, Justen Tran was the proud winner of the exclusive 2008 PSG prize pack for his winning entry in the recent issue of the Get Ready Newsletter competition. Fellow schoolmate, Simone Forostenko, a Year 6 Student was also presented with her runner- up prize pack for her efforts.
