Students from St. Monica’s Primary were treated to a dose of Pat Mills’ magic when the 2008 Pacific School Games (PSG) ambassador visited the school yesterday.
Mills who is now an Australia Post Boomer, represented the ACT in Basketball at the 2005 PSG in Melbourne. The Canberra born and bred Basketball prodigy took time out from his busy preparations for the upcoming Beijing Olympics to speak to his young fans about his experiences and excitement of winning the Gold medal with the ACT at the Melbourne PSG in 2005.
Harrison Whalan, a Year 1 student of St. Monica’s Primary, met his hero Mills and was presented with an exclusive 2008 PSG Prize pack for his winning entry in the 2008 PSG Get Ready Newsletter competition.
