Accommodation
Accommodation arrangements for the 2008 PSG will aim to facilitate and enhance the quality of the experience for both competitors and visitors.
To help achieve this aim the 2008 PSG Management will coordinate all accommodation arrangements for visiting teams including booking and financial arrangements with providers.
Competitors
The accommodation options during the 2008 Pacific School Games are:
- private accommodation with family or friends
- commercial accommodation with family or friends
- commercial accommodation with team
- team based accommodation in a number of locations
- billeting
Team Based Accommodation
The 2008 PSG Management have endeavoured to make the 2008 Pacific School Games experience extra special through careful selection of team accommodation venues across Canberra’s north for those competitors and officials who require it.
A wide variety of team accommodation venues have been selected based on their facilities, proximity to the Games Precinct or their unique Australian bush experience.
At this stage, these include:

- Canberra Motor Village
- Eaglehawk Holiday Park

The 2008 PSG Team Accommodation Package will include 8 nights accommodation, a full continental breakfast each morning and two course dinner each evening.
Additional information on team based accommodation has been provided to all team management from each State, Territory or Country that has applied. Team management from any State, Territory or Country that has not yet received the information on team based accommodation should contact the 2008 PSG Services Manager.Billeting
As an alternative to team based accommodation, some overseas students may be billeted with families through school and community group contacts. This will build on the cultural and education aspects of competing in an international event.
Team Officials
Officials of teams using accommodation options 3 or 4 will be expected to stay with their teams to provide supervision of team members in the accommodation.
Team officials whose entire team is accommodated under options 1, 2 or 5 will be accommodated in commercial accommodation. These venues have been chosen for their proximity to the 2008 PSG Games Precinct and other facilities (eg. Restaurants, shopping centres and public transport). The 2008 PSG Officials Accommodation Package will include 8 nights accommodation.

- Canberra Rex Hotel
- Yowani Country Club
- Goolabri Country Resort
Additional information on officials accommodation has been provided to all team management from each State, Territory or Country that has applied. Team management from any State, Territory or Country that has not yet received the information on officials accommodation should contact the 2008 PSG Services Manager.
