John Jakeman visits Calwell Primary School

2008 Pacific School Games (PSG) Ambassador John Jakeman took time out of his busy schedule early this week to speak to students from Calwell Primary School about the upcoming 2008 PSG.

60 students from two Year 1 and 2 classes also had the opportunity to meet the former Brumby when he visited the students in class before addressing the school assembly shortly after.

Jakeman however, did not visit the school alone and was soon joined by the 2008 PSG Mascot Bunyip. Since its launch in late July, the 2008 PSG Mascot Bunyip has captured the imagination of many school children in the ACT.

With its bright colours and friendly demeanour, the 2008 PSG Mascot Bunyip has proved to be extremely popular, with the naming of the mascot competition currently a hit throughout ACT Schools.

It is envisaged that the 2008 PSG Mascot Bunyip will be named at the 2008 PSG Less than 100 days to go Show on Friday, 29 August at Westfield Belconnen Mall.
