Official Charity
Paediatrics at the Canberra Hospital (PatCH) is proud to be associated with the 2008 Pacific School Games.
PatCH is the largest paediatric centre in the ACT and the surrounding South New South Wales Eastern region of That region covers the South Coast to the Victorian border, West to Wagga Wagga, Cootamundra and Dubbo and North to Crookwell and Goulburn.
PatCH provides medical and surgical care for children and adolescents in a specially created environment designed to brighten the lives of all children, hasten their recovery and offer expert care.
Each year the demand on PatCH to replace or buy new equipment and fund medical research increases, as does the number of children PatCH cares for. In addition to our inpatient services, many more children are treated in PatCh’s Emergency and Outpatients clinics.
While PatCH is funded by the ACT Government, through ACT Health, many of the significant services are augmented by other funding sources such as donations, fundraising activities and sponsorships.
PatCH congratulates all the competitors in the 2008 Pacific School Games and thanks them for their support. PatCH hopes all competitors enjoy their time in Canberra competing in the Games and will return for a future visit.
PatCh is pleased to be chosen as the sponsored charity for the Games and look forward to providing state of the art medical equipment to continue to treat the children of the ACT and surrounding South Eastern region of NSW with the funds raised during the Games.
