This is the 8th Pacific School Games but the first time that it will be held in the Nation’s Capital. The Pacific School Games is the flagship event of School Sport Australia.

School Sport Australia delegates inspected all PSG venues including the National Hockey Centre, the Australian Institute of Sport, the Canberra Stadium and Thoroughbred Park late last week, as part of the School Sport Australia Conference.

School Sport Australia Executive Officer, Steve Kalend said, “The tour of the PSG venues, together with some of the key issues discussed during the School Sport Australia conference made it one of the most successful conferences that School Sport Australia has conducted in recent years.” He added that all delegates were very impressed at how advanced the preparations for the Pacific School Games are and he congratulated the Pacific School Games management team for their work so far. “Everyone is waiting in anticipation for the Games to begin.” Mr Kalend said.
