2008 PSG Bunyip visits Wanniassa Primary
Students from Wanniassa Primary School received a pleasant surprise visit from the 2008 Pacific School Games (PSG) Mascot last Friday when the Bunyip Mascot made a special guest appearance at the school assembly.
General Manager of the 2008 Pacific School Games, Ron Burns and the Bunyip Mascot were on hand to speak to the students about ongoing preparations for the upcoming 2008 PSG happening from the 30 November to the 6 December.
Amy Cook, a student of the school was then presented with an exclusive 2008 PSG prize pack for her winning entry in the Name the Flag Competition in Issue 2 of Get Ready, the official newsletter of the 2008 PSG.
The countdown to the biggest school sport event in Canberra will be soon underway with the Less than 100 Days to go Show on 29 August officially marking less than 100 days to go before the start of the weeklong international competition.
It is anticipated that the name of the Bunyip mascot will also be unveiled during the Less than 100 days to go show with the winner of the competition taking home a family pass to the 2008 PSG Opening Ceremony and an exclusive 2008 PSG Prize
pack.
